Classroom Expectations and Procedures

The class environment is so very important, it can be encouraging or discouraging.  There are reasons children react the way they react.  If I take the time to observe, document and change the environment or the situation, I can build a positive place to learn.  This approach seems to take a long time, sometimes, but the end results are worth the wait.

I like to work with positives in the classroom and provide activities in which all children can be successful.  I do not like to remove the child from the group, if at all possible, except for severe or repeated behaviors. We provide choices and consequence to the choices, as well as follow DCS Preschool discipline policies.  We keep the children active and engaged in exciting material and are consistent with the expectations.
