Behavior Plan
School wide we utilize the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) which is an “approach to proactive, school-wide behavior based on a Response to Intervention (RtI) model. PBIS applies evidence-based programs, practices and strategies for all students to increase academic performance, improve safety, decrease problem behavior, and establish a positive school culture.”
As a class, I will utilize a clip chart to monitor behavior. Students will have chance each day to earn a ‘punch’ on their PAWSitive behavior card if they remain on green. If they are clipped up 2 times they will receive 2 punches, and so on. After filling up a card, students will be rewarded by going to the prize box. These cards will be used as a ‘ticket’ to get into school wide events. They will also help determine awards given each quarter and at the end of the year. Please check your child’s folder nightly to monitor how they are doing in class.
