Welcome to Second Grade

Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome to the second and third grade combination class!  I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. This is my sixth year at Brier Creek and I could not be happier. We are going to have a wonderful year full of hard work and lots of fun! I would like for us all to work together to make this a successful year for your student.

Here are a few things that will help us do so…

*Please see supply list in parent information

*I try to give the children little reward incentives occasionally. Donations of individually wrapped candy are appreciated. (smarties, starburst, &  kisses work well)

*School Fees are $7.00 please make checks payable to Brier Creek Elementary School

* Please make sure your child is in the classroom no later than 8:00am. The school is open to students at 7:30am, class begins promptly at 8:00am and students are tardy at 8:05am.

* School dismisses at 2:35. If you need to pick your child up early, please go to the office and sign them out, the office will call for them.

* We will have a snack each day. You may send a small snack with your child daily. It is important that your child have a snack in order to stay focused throughout the day. No drinks please, we will go to the water fountain after snack.

* Our lunch time will be from 11:50-12:20 each day. You are welcome to come have lunch with your child. Please sign in at the office when you arrive. Also remember no restaurant food can be brought into the school.

I am typically available for phone calls or conferences Thursday mornings from 8:30-10:00 and before and after school 7:30-7:50 and 2:45-3:30.
